CANVAS - HATSUNE MIKU

Waiting in the dark,
I thought I saw a glimpse of light,
Just my imagination I told myself,
It's fine...I'll be alright.

But then I saw a spark
Flicker then burst into a flame
And my world was filled with colours
I thought I'd never see again.

I no longer fear the dark,
Now that you are here with me.
And your warmth is in my heart,
Like the echoes of a dream.

This page is where I'll start,
The first chapter of our story,
We'll write it down together,
Just you and me.

Pick up your palette now,
Let's start over again,
Wipe my tears to wet the brushes,
And paint away the pain.
My life was but a canvas, colourless and empty,
But then you painted it with colour,
Now you are...My destiny.

Trapped here in the dark,
I thought I'd never see the dawn,
In my imprisonment I lost the strength,
To fight and carry on.

But then I saw a spark,
Ignite and it brought me a new day,
My world became technicolour,
And I was no longer afraid.

I no longer fear the night,
Now that I am hear with you.
And my world is filled with light,
Sparkling in every hue.

This page is where I'll write,
The first draft of our stage debut,
We'll learn the lines together,
Just me and you.

Pick up your palette now,
Let's start this art over again,
Wipe my tears to wet the brushes,
And paint away the pain.
My heart was but a canvas, colourless and empty,
Until you painted it with colour,
